About Dr. Hendrix
Dr. Jason Hendrix, DO, graduated from Pacific Lutheran University located in Tacoma, WA with Bachelor degrees in both biology and chemistry. His love of the sciences and a desire to help others inspired him to pursue a medical degree. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (now named A.T. Still University). While in medical school, Dr. Hendrix received the prestigious President’s Leadership and Scholarship Award.
Dr. Hendrix’s interest in Dermatology is a result of his significant exposure to the field of dermatology during his residency. He participated in a three-year American Board of Physician Specialty Dermatology Program (ABPS) and did a preceptorship in Pittsburgh, PA. He then started at Reading Dermatology Associates in Reading, PA. Due to Dr. Hendrix’s enhanced training and his strong surgical background, he is especially adept in the treatment of diseases of the skin and all dermatological conditions.
Prior to medical school, Dr. Hendrix served in the United States Navy where he learned perseverance, hard work and compassion. This experience helped him develop the necessary qualities to become the physician he is today. He states, “I am dedicated to providing the best medical, dermatological, and cosmetic care while serving the best interest of my patients. I particularly pride myself on patient satisfaction and loyalty.”
Dr. Hendrix is married to Amy, a nurse practitioner of dermatology.

About Dr. Schleicher
Dr. Schleicher has over twenty years of experience in the field of dermatology. Dr. Schleicher is the author of three books and over one hundred journal articles. He currently serves on the Editorial Board of the journal Emergency Medicine and for fifteen years served on the Advisory Board of the Day Spa Association. He co-hosts the cable television show, Skin Sense.
Dr. Schleicher has traveled throughout Europe investigating skin care products as a consultant to the health and beauty industries and developed a skin care line for the web site health911.com. In 2010 he addressed both the International Esthetics, Cosmetics and Spa Conference in Las Vegas as well as the World Spa Conference in Brazil.
Dr. Schleicher is a pioneer in the field of teledermatology and for over a decade has been providing remote dermatological consultations to federal and state prisons throughout Pennsylvania. In 2010 he developed and implemented a teledermatology prototype for the nonprofit organization Volunteers in Medicine which coordinates 70 clinics nationwide.
Founder and director of the DermDox Center for Teledermatology, (www.dermdox.org) his digital-image based medical column is read each month by thousands of healthcare practitioners. For his work in teledermatology Dr. Schleicher was named a ComputerWorld Honors Laureate in 2011, this an international competition recognizing “men and women whose visionary applications of information technology promote positive social, economic and educational change.” Also in 2011 Dr. Schleicher received the Innovators Award from the Pennsylvania Medical Society which featured his trailblazing work in the field of telemedicine.

About Amy Hendrix, CRNP
Amy Hendrix worked at Northwest Dermatology while earning her Bachelor of Nursing degree from Madonna University in Livonia, MI. It was during this time she realized her desire to specialize in dermatology. She continued to work there for one year as a Registered Nurse. Although she loved dermatology, she knew that she would enhance her career and knowledge of medicine by experiencing the hospital environment. After seven years as an intensive care (ICU) nurse at both Providence Hospital and Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital, she desired to further her education by pursuing a Master’s degree in Nursing Administration from the University of Phoenix. Amy became proficient at balancing her work as a full time nurse, mother, nurse practitioner student, and nursing school professor at the University of Detroit Mercy in Detroit, MI.
She then worked at a private dermatology practice in Bloomfield Hills, MI where she gained further experience in treating disorders of the skin, hair and nails—medically, surgically and cosmetically. Amy furthered her dermatology training in Pittsburgh, PA for one year before taking permanent residence in Reading, PA. Amy quotes, “With intensive attention to detail, my goal is perfection in medical as well as cosmetic results and patient happiness.”
Amy enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and is an avid tennis player.

About Jamie LaPorte, PA-C
Jamie is a board certified physician assistant who is licensed to practice dermatology in the state of Pennsylvania. She is able to accommodate patients of all skin types, ages and conditions. She strongly urges patients to be vigilant about moles changes and recommends yearly full skin exams to all patients.

With almost 20 years of experience with in the nursing field, Todd has a well-rounded patient focused approach for variety of dermatological conditions. He has a significant background in allergy, immunology, hematology, metastatic malignant melanoma, and use of biological agents. He enjoys educating patients and their family members on common skin changes, abnormalities, and potential treatment options. In the future, Todd plans to provide lectures and clinical opportunities for nurse practitioner students.
